Jenna Levenson, PhD, RN, MS, served as the Vice President of Drug Development for MyMD Pharmaceuticals Inc., MIRA Pharmaceuticals Inc., and Telomir Pharmaceuticals Inc., from 2021-2024 where she participated in strategic planning and budgeting of $10-15 million annually, covering preclinical and clinical development, technical operations, manufacturing, IPO, and outsourcing activities. She supported medical monitoring and review of risk, SAE’s and AE’s over the study lifecycles and served as liaison with the FDA, stakeholders and media.
Prior to joining MyMD, MIRA, and Telomir, Dr. Levenson served as the Director of Clinical Research and Scientific Grants for LifeBridge Health, a community health system consisting of 5 specialty centers – Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale Hospital, and Grace Medical Center (formally Bon Secours Baltimore Hospital). During this time, she revised and implemented over 20 policies and procedures guiding the execution and continuation of 250+ research trials (Phase I-IV) to ensure regulatory standards and compliance were upheld.
Prior to her role with LifeBridge Health, Dr. Levenson spent four years at Johns Hopkins Hospital working with clinicians and researchers to promote the integration of substance-use related content including screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT) into the nursing curricula at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Additionally, she worked with HIV researchers to help beta test the design and implementation of a mobile health app to link HIV-positive individuals to patient care navigators. Lastly and most impactfully, Dr. Levenson worked with MyMD’s Chief Scientific Officer, Adam Kaplin to execute clinical trials funded by Janssen to combat treatment-resistant depression using intranasal esketamine.
Dr. Levenson has also served as an assistant editor for conferences by AMIA MedInfo and HiMMS, as well as a scientific reviewer for the Journal of Child Abnormal Psychology and the Journal of Comprehensive Psychiatry. Additionally, she previously served as the Secretary for the Southern Nurses Research Society. She has also authored and co-authored numerous articles and reviews.
